There’s a first time for everything and I reckon that the easiest way to start something new is just to say yes. When I was asked to photograph LOMA’s new jewellery range I didn’t even think twice before I accepted. Have I ever photographed a jewellery range? No, but I knew that this would be a great project, one I would certainly be very proud to be a part of. And now I also get to share it with you! How neat is that? Let me introduce you to LOMA and then we can get to the best part…how to win your own LOMA pieces.
More about LOMA
When designer Tharien Strydom and artist Nina Torr decides to collaborate and make jewellery, you know it is going to be good. So, after some wintery evenings of drinking wine and making jewellery for themselves, the idea to start their own line took shape. The pieces are bold and I bet you, you won’t find anything like it in stores. Best thing about this range is that all the pieces are limited edition bespoke pieces.
As you can imagine I love this brand and a big part of that was, of course, their logo. Nina and Tharien decided to have a competition at Open Window Institute and students got the opportunity to enter logo designs for LOMA. Sydney Keeney is the lady responsible for LOMA’s brand spanking new logo. That brings me to the next part, the lookbook. I was honoured to work with the lovely couple behind Academie, Alex and Jean-Louise Parker. We were probably in studio for a good 5 hours and these two didn’t complain once! Best models ever 🙂
